Working Hours: Most of our conferences are in the US. Depending on where you're based, during peak conference season you'll need to be available for longer hours to deal with issues as they arise – from late deliveries to vendors on the ground.

At Cerba Research, we are committed to finding the best talent to join our team. We have partnered with Vector Talent to manage the recruitment process for this role. If you're interested in applying, please direct all applications and questions to Vector Talent.

The Global Marketing team at Cerba Research is looking for an Events Marketing Manager to own our conference and events programme end to end – from exhibitor portals and booth builds to shipping, vendors and on-site teams, mostly managed remotely across a largely US-based calendar. It's an execution-first role with a clear runway into marketing and event strategy.

Why Join Us?
Own the Calendar – 15–17 major booth conferences a year, plus presentation and attendance-only events. The shows are yours.
Build It Your Way – No legacy process. Put your stamp on logistics and vendors.
A Role With Runway – Grow into planning the annual events strategy and budget with leadership.
Scale & Science – 40+ years of clinical research heritage. No science background needed.

Your Responsibilities
Project manage each event end to end – bookings, exhibitor portals, deadlines, booth specification (shell scheme and modular), freight and on-site requirements
Coordinate on-site teams remotely, solving problems in real time across time zones
Own vendor relationships – stand builders, logistics partners, suppliers and agencies
Improve how event materials are stored, shipped and cleared through customs
Plan and deliver user group meetings, symposia and customer events
Manage event budgets and report on event outcomes
Work with marketing colleagues on booth messaging, collateral and event campaigns

How You Will Add Value

Delivering every event on time, on budget and on brand – from first booking to final shipment home
Freeing the wider marketing team to focus on strategy by owning the planning, administration and vendor management behind the calendar
Building repeatable processes, templates and vendor relationships that let the programme scale
Making results visible with clear post-event reporting on leads, meetings and outcomes

Your Responsibilities

  • Project manage each event end to end – bookings, exhibitor portals, deadlines, booth specification (shell scheme and modular), freight, shipping and on-site requirements
  • Coordinate on-site teams remotely, solving problems in real time across time zones
  • Own vendor relationships – stand builders, logistics and fulfilment partners, promotional and literature suppliers and agencies – holding them to agreed standards and costs
  • Improve how event materials are stored, picked, packed and shipped, including customs and commodity code requirements
  • Plan and deliver user group meetings, symposia and customer events
  • Manage event budgets, tracking spend against plan
  • Work with marketing colleagues on booth messaging, collateral and event campaigns
  • Track and report event outcomes, and over time help shape the annual events plan and budget

About You

You're an events project manager who could run a conference with your eyes shut. You're organised to your fingertips, you do things in the right order, and you don't panic when the booth hasn't arrived. Science is a bonus, not a must – it's the events experience that counts.

  • Hands-on experience delivering conferences and exhibitions (shell scheme and/or modular), user group meetings or symposia – from any sector
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of running multiple events in parallel
  • Experience managing events remotely and resolving issues from a distance
  • Confident managing vendors and budgets, and happy to challenge a supplier who isn't delivering
  • Resilient and adaptable in a fast-moving business where priorities can change
  • Experience in life sciences, CRO, diagnostics or services is a plus – as is running a large symposium or customer event
  • Keen to grow your marketing skill set alongside your events expertise
  • Fluent in English

Travel:
Limited – events are primarily managed remotely. Travel is expected to increase as the programme grows.
